Treating acne, scarring, loose skin, and stretch marks, Potenza Microneedling by CynoSure can improve a variety of skin concerns by restimulating collagen and elastin production. Using micro needles rather than heat or a laser, this radio frequency is safe for most skin types. A series of three to six treatments is typically recommended for best results, each 4-6 weeks apart. While the treatment can feel discomforting, we start with a topical numbing cream to make it more tolerable. Some patients may experience small pinpoint bleeding during treatment, which is normal. We offer a vibrating device that can help distract from any discomfort and ease tension as well. Patients can expect to experience swelling, redness or sensitivity post treatment. These symptoms generally subside within 2-7 days following treatment. Makeup can be applied after the first 24 hours, and we recommend staying hydrated and keeping the skin moisturized as it heals.
For concerns such as minimal fine lines and acne scarring for patients in their 20’s and 30’s, only 3-4 treatments will be necessary. For concerns such as wrinkles, stretch marks, or skin laxity, 5-6 treatments will be more beneficial. We will always examine your skin specifically to help determine this.
